I have learned that life can be so gratifying when we live it with a purpose. As an author, poet, and songwriter, my love of introspective writing started in my childhood years. I can remember always having the desire to help people empower themselves, but first I needed to be spiritually mature. That desire, along with my spiritual growth, led to the creation of my newly released book, Facing Our Skeletons. I am a certified alcohol and drug counselor who works as a social service counselor in Newark. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration and health care management. I enjoy swimming, reading, writing poetry and songs, travelling, and nature-oriented activities.

Excellent Book
This book is excellent. Every one that I know that read it, they loved it. Carmel is very talented. Her ability to captivate her readers' emotions in the book is overwhelming. Her poems are also very well written. I would recommend this book to anyone.
