Mouvman Peyizan Papay or The peasant Movement of Papaye was founded in 1973 by Agronomist Chavannes Jean-Baptiste to teach the people of Haiti the principles of sustainable agriculture.
Mouvman Peyizan Papay has become one of the most effective environmental peasant movements in Haitian history, successfully fostering economic development, environmental protection and individual survival.
Mouvman Peyizan Papay is also known by it's aconym "MPP" or Mouvement Paysan de Papaye.
