Hugues Sanon is one of the most gifted artists of today's Haitian music industry.

With his combination of jazz and the traditionnal haitian rhyms, he brings a refined groove and a soothing sound in the Haitian music.

Hugues Sanon was born on February 9, 1978 in Port-au-Prince Haiti, in a neighborhood called fort national.

He started doing music at his early age.

Beginning at the age 15, he sang in his church choir.

He and other fellows founded Devoue pour Christ an acapella group that was very popular in port-au-prince.

After taking some music classes, Hugues Sanon began to love music and took it to the next level.

And ever since he started performing at cultural events, churches, schools etc. he wrote many Christians songs at his young age.His harmonic conceptions, inspired melodies and verses are simply beautiful.

His voice is unique and charming, his lyrics are profound.

His special tone and repertoire of great taste make him a strong influence of the Haitian music; Hugues Sanon is a true Haitian original.

Composor, songwriter, arranger, the raspy voice, Hugues Sanon is without a doubt one of the best in his generation.

Everybody who listens to his songs begins to love him more. His latest cd "Haiti ou nan ke m" which can be classified as a soft-racine, is a proof of his talent and competence in the art of music making.the mixing is wonderful, the word are clear and understandable.

Sanon Cd is poetry in music.

Through his songs the Haitian people will not only enjoy the union of the Jazz and the haitian traditional beats, but they will also understand a little bit more about life in Haiti.

Surrounded by many great Haitian musicians, like Jocel Almeus, Sergo Decius, Erickson Desmandes, Macarios Cesaire, Chico Boyer, Rogerst J.B Charles, Melanie Charles, Jean Caze, Gerard Avant, Manny Lane, Apolos Jean Baptiste, Joseph Bonjean, Wilkenson Theodore, Philippe Pierre, Palmyre Seraphin, Charlson Duverne and le troubadour Boulo Valcourt, Ayiti Ou Nan Ke-m is without a doubt one of the best release of this age.
