When Haiti got his by the storms in Haiti it's been reported that nearly half ot Haiti's banana harvest is destoyed.

The 2008 Haiti banana harvest was flattened and covered in mud caused by swollen rivers and floods in Haiti.

A lot of Haiti's banana harvest is planted is pieces of land called a "bastrak", a piece of flat land near a river bed.

when the rivers swell up because of floods in Haiti, these "bastrak" areas are the first hit.

Some Haitian banana farmers complain that they have nothing to sell and nothing to sell.

Haiti is in a state of crisis and recovery is not visible in the horizon
