haiti and the ban on plastic bags

Steve Jackson - September 29 2012, 12:34 PM

Lamothe, the prime minister, said the crackdown pn plastics bags and foams is aimed at protecting Haiti's coastlines, shores and what's left of its mangroves.

He acknowledges that the country has "a massive garbage issue"

Do you think if garbage were picked up regularly, would that be an issue and would that eliminate one big pile that seems to be a fixture on every street corner in any major city, just to name those few?

A massive program aiming at cleaning up garbage would probably create a few jobs, therefore a program like " KATIE PAM PROPRETE" deemed very necessary!

Some people swear by having a plastic bag at night, that can protect them from venturing outside to travel to go to the bathroom from fear of getting raped, espcially in tent cities.

Would they be exempt?
