Words of Endorsement:

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg

"There's a key theme running through all of Dan's work - and that is holding people accountable for their actions.

As we all know, accountability is something we sorely need in Albany.

Dan's the true independent in this race because he can get things done and he does what's right regardless of what's politically popular.

That's why I'm endorsing Dan Donovan, and that's why I'm going to do everything I can to help him become New York's next Attorney General."

Activist and Haitian-Jazz singer Hugues Sanon

"I have always endorsed a Democrat in the past. But now i realized that if a man is doing a great job, regardless of his political party, He deserve support.

Dan Donovan has done an excellent job as a district Attorney.

I believe He will continue do what is right for the citizens in the State New York. I am proudly endorsed Dan Donavan for Attorney General and i urge the people of New York to choose who is right for New York at this critical time."

Mayor Bloomberg who is the founder and 88% owner of Bloomberg L.P., a financial news and information services media company, a lifelong Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. He was frequently mentioned as a possible independent candidate for the 2008 presidential election and fueled that speculation when he left the Republican Party in June 2007 to become an independent.

There was also speculation that he would run as a vice-presidential candidate.

Bloomberg did not, however, seek the presidency nor was he selected as a running mate by any of the presidential candidates.

In the fall of 2008, Bloomberg successfully campaigned for an amendment to New York City's term limits law, in order to allow him to run for a third term in 2009. Bloomberg won the election on November 3, 2009.
