RE: Haiti Must Speak English
Having Haitian forget french to start speaking english is the dumbest idea I ever heard.
Consider this: Haiti is one of the few countries in the world with 2 official languages, which in an ideal setting, promotes brain function and intelligence...
Why in the world would somebody suggest to loose that richness in culture?
The only thing Haiti needs is help! Help in governance, in education, and in agriculture...not to loose it's identity...
I do believe it's a good idea to instate english lessons for all, but having a french country being part of the CARICOM doesn't mean that said country should change.
But it does suggest that the other countries should take that opportunity to learn a new language!
